The project name Sharada House Gang came from Paul Sharada aka American actor, yoga instructor and former American Football player Lamott Atkins. The very first single "Let's Down The House" was actually released under the name DJ Atkins & Sharada House Gang in 1988. It included a sample from Indeep Last Night A DJ Saved My Life. It seems that Paul was not involved in the project's next singles.
