It was later covered by numerous artists. The song is also featured in the movie The Challengers. In the United Kingdom, the single peaked at number 6, it reached number 51 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 41 on the Adult Contemporary chart. In Europe, it peaked at number 1 in Switzerland and Poland, number 2 Ireland and Netherlands, Top 10 in Belgium, Israel, West Germany, Sweden, Top 20 in France and Austria.
